AMR Labs was founded in 2009 with a single purpose: to give beauty brands access to world-class formulation expertise and manufacturing quality — without the minimum order requirements, long lead times, or impersonal service that often come with larger contract manufacturers. More than 16 years later, that mission hasn't changed.
We're a full-service cosmetic contract manufacturer based in Los Angeles, California. Our facilities handle everything from initial R&D and custom formulation through to filling, labeling, quality control, and finished product assembly. We've manufactured products for hundreds of brands, many of which are now sold at Target, Sephora, Ulta, Whole Foods, Neiman Marcus, Goop, Erewhon, QVC/HSN, and Costco.

How We Work
Our Manufacturing Process
We use a proprietary online R&D formulation system that allows our chemists to document every formula adjustment, track ingredient performance, and maintain complete traceability across every batch. This system has been refined over 16 years to reduce development time, minimize sample revision cycles, and catch potential issues before they reach production.
We attend major industry trade shows annually and continuously evaluate new active ingredients, preservative systems, and delivery technologies. When a new ingredient trend emerges — whether it's a novel peptide, a next-generation retinoid, or a clinically studied botanical — our team evaluates it for safety, stability, and formulation compatibility before incorporating it into client formulas.
